RULES & REGULATIONS


ATTENDANCE

  • Regular attendance is an important condition for successful working. A prior written application for leave must be submitted well in advance.
  • 80% attendance is compulsory for students to be eligible for appearing in the exams.
  • The name of any student who remains absent for 10 days without information shall be struck off the roll. For re-admission, a fee of Rs. 100/- will be charged.
  • All students must be present on the reopening day of the school after each vacation.
  • No student will be allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without permission from the Principal.
  • All requests regarding absence or late-coming should be made in the school diary and not on any loose sheet of paper.

CLASS WORK AND HOME WORK

  • Class work includes oral and written work. Class tests are conducted on regular intervals and are taken into consideration for promotion to the next class.
  • Home work in all the subjects is given every day in all the classes. Parents/guardians are requested to see that the child completes the home work regularly and must sign the home work diary every day.

CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT

In order to make learning stress free there are no examinations in the early years of childhood up to class V. The performance of the students is continuously assessed through class tests and worksheet in each academic year.

PROMOTION CRITERIA

  • Pass marks in each subject is 40% (Class V onwards).
  • Grades are given up to class V based on a child's performance.
  • Decision regarding promotion will be based on the overall performance of the child throughout the year in the exams/tests.
  • Medical certificate, under any circumstances, is not a guarantee for promotion to the next class. If a student fails to appear in a part or whole of any examination, he should secure required marks in the other examinations/tests held during the year.
  • The decision of the Principal regarding promotion is final.

EXAMINATIONS/TESTS

Examinations in each academic session will be held as follows:

July Terminal Test
October Half Yearly Examination
December Terminal Test
February Annual Examination
  • Marks obtained in the tests will be included in the Grand Total of the examination.
  • A student absent in any test will not be re-examined.
  • Student using unfair means in the tests/examinations will be duly punished.

PROGRESS REPORT

  • The children's progress report is given to the parents/guardians during the Parent Teacher Meetings usually held on a second Saturday or any other pre-decided date after every Terminal and Half Yearly Examination.
  • The report card after being signed by the parent must be returned to the Class Teacher within three working days. It will be given finally after Annual Examination results.
  • Parents are requested to collect the monthly progress report of their ward on the dates referred to.

PARENTAL CO-OPERATION

  • To bring about co-ordination between the parents and teachers, regular Parent Teacher Meetings are organized. Orientation programs are also organized to foster better understanding and harmony between the parents and teachers. Parents are requested to attend the Parent Teacher Meeting regularly to keep themselves aware of their ward's progress.
  • Parents are requested to check their ward's school diary every day and ensure that the work assigned is duly completed. Remarks made in the diaries should also be acknowledged and countersigned regularly.
  • Parents should take proper note of all the circulars and information sent to them from time to time.
  • Parents are requested to participate actively and regularly in all the school activities.
  • No sick child should be sent to school with medicines to be taken during school hours.
  • Parents are requested to inform the school in case there is any change of their address or phone number.
  • All applications must be signed by the parents.
  • Parents are requested to acquaint themselves fully with the school rules and abide by them. They are further requested to maintain a cordial behaviour with the staff.
  • A student may be rusticated if desired co-operation is not extended by the parents.

TRANSFERS

  • Students may be transferred from one branch to another on request (depending on the availability of seats).
  • Parents should submit an application addressed to the Principal for transfer with all the relevant details.

GENERAL RULES

  • All students should follow the rules and regulations of the institution to maintain the school decorum.
  • Students must be punctual in reaching school. They should attend the morning assembly. Late comers will not be allowed to enter the class without the Principal's permission.
  • Students not in proper uniform will not be allowed to attend the classes.
  • Wearing of jewelry in school premises is forbidden.
  • Nails should be kept clean and trimmed.
  • The school does not take any responsibility for the loss of books, watches, money and so on. Each student is responsible for his/her belongings.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the school on any condition during school hours without the express permission of the Principal.
  • Parents and other persons are not allowed to meet their children or teachers during school hours without permission of the Principal.
  • The Principal is liable to rusticate any student whose conduct is not good.
  • When the assembly is over, students should go to their classes in an orderly manner.
  • Students should maintain decorum and orderliness while leaving the school, thereby students ensuring smooth exit for themselves and others.
  • All students are required to contribute to the high standards of the school by his/her conduct, discipline, manners and commitment to studies and other school activities.
  • Students using their own conveyance are required to follow traffic rules for their own safety. Students are not allowed to ride two wheelers without a proper driving license.
  • Students are expected to take part in games, other outdoor activities, competitions and extracurricular activities organized by the school from time to time.

LIBRARY RULES

  • Books will not be issued without library card.
  • Books will be issued and returned every day.
  • Reference and fiction books are issued for a week.
  • If a book is subjected to any damage or if any pages are found missing the borrower will be held responsible and shall have to replace the book. The students are also advised to check the books before borrowing them and if they discover any sort of damage it should immediately be reported to the librarian.
  • If a book is lost the borrower shall have to replace it or pay heavy fine.
  • A fine of Rs. 100.00 will be charged if the library card is lost or damaged.
  • Books are issued to the borrower and should not be lent to anyone else.
  • All books should be returned before the beginning of each exam. Failure to do so will debar the student from appearing in the exam.
  • Each student will be issued only one book at a time for a period of one week.
  • Costly reference books, encyclopedias and magazines can be referred to in the library only.
  • Fine will be levied on all overdue books.
  • Students not abiding by the library rules will be debarred from the library facilities.
  • It is at the discretion of the Principal to take action against a student for misusing the library or breaking the rules.

LABORATORY RULES

The school has well equipped laboratories to carry out experimental work in various sciences. The following rules are to be followed in the laboratories:

  • Equipment for use in laboratories will be issued to students as per rules laid down by the science teachers.
  • No equipment is to be taken out of the laboratories without the permission of the teacher.
  • All equipment issued to any student must be returned before the annual examinations and a no dues certificate obtained from the concerned science teacher. The certificate should be submitted to the class teacher to allow the student to appear in their annual examination.
  • The student will have to pay appropriate fine if any laboratory equipment is damaged by him/her.

SCHOOL IDENTITY CARD

Students should have their identity cards in their possession at all times when they come to school or go elsewhere in school uniform to represent the college.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT

  • Bus fees will be charged area wise as decided by the school from time to time.
  • No concession will be given in bus fees. Bus fees will be payable for 12 months in a year. Once availing the facility of school bus, one cannot leave it without giving three months prior notice in writing to the Principal of the same.
  • In case the school bus does not reach in time due to mechanical break down or illness of the driver, the parents/guardians are requested to make their own arrangements. However, the school tries its level best to provide an alternative service.

FEE SCHEDULE

  • Fees must be paid by the prescribed dates.
  • Fee is charged in installments as given in fee card by cash/cheque/demand draft.
  • All dues are to be paid in advance up to 10th of every month.
  • Fees can also be paid with a late payment of Rs 30/- by 20th and Rs 50/- on the last working day of the month. There after the name of the child will be struck off the register. Re-admission can be taken on payment of Rs 100/- with the approval of the Principal.
  • If a child is withdrawn in the mid-session, minimum six months fees will be charged.
  • Any exemption or deduction in fees will not be made for holidays or absence on any grounds.
  • The students will not be allowed to appear for examinations and report card will not be given unless all the dues have been cleared.
  • It is compulsory to bring the fee card at the time of depositing the fee.
  • Any fee deposited is non refundable.
  • A special concession of Rs 20/- will be given if the fee for the whole year is deposited at the beginning of the academic session.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

BOYS
Daily: Sky blue self-designed shirt, bluish-grey half pant/trouser, light blue socks, black shoes, school tie and belt as displayed in the showcase at the school campus.
PT Day: White shirt, white trouser, white socks, white shoes, school tie and belt on Wednesdays and House t-shirt on Saturdays.

GIRLS
Daily: Sky blue self-designed blouse, bluish-grey tunic/skirt, light blue socks, black shoes, school tie & belt as displayed in the showcase at the school campus.
PT Day: White blouse, white knee length skirt, white socks, white shoes, school tie & belt on Wednesdays and House t-shirt on Saturdays.

For IX-XII:
Summer Uniform: Salwar-kurta and dupatta will be compulsory but its colour and design will be such as provided by the authorized dealer.
P.T. Day: White salwar, white kurta, white dupatta, white socks, white shoes on Wednesdays and House colour dupatta on Saturdays.

WINTER DRESS

BOYS: Navy Blue half sweater with "V" shaped neck having a border of light blue stripes, navy blue blazer and woolen trouser of approved shade.

GIRLS: Navy Blue half sweater with "V" shaped neck, navy blue blazers & tunic/skirt of approved shade with skin colored stockings up to class VIII, for Class IX to XII navy blue half sweater with V shaped neck and blue blazer along with summer dress.

Each student has to arrange for three set of uniforms which should be cleaned and pressed properly. Shoes should be polished regularly.

HOUSE DRESS

Class II onwards prescribed House dress is to be worn on Saturdays.

CONCLUSION

  • The Managing Body of the school reserves the right to add/amend/waive off any of the rules mentioned in the school prospectus without assigning any reason thereof.
  • The interpretation of any of the rules as contained in the prospectus rests solely and entirely with the managing body of the school. Its interpretation shall be final and binding on parents/guardians and students of the institution.
